Fit for a Reframe

Welcome!  This is the beginning of a new journey of accountability, growth, and ultimate change for me.  I hope that by you joining me on this journey it will hold me accountable as well as inspire others along the way.  My former ideas of “fitness” really just involved exercising to counteract the many calories of junk food that I’d eat each week.  Despite saying that I want to be a good role model for my children, I’ve really been a closet junk food junkie who happened to also enjoy exercise.

It’s time for a change!  A big one!

As a Cognitive Behavioral therapist, I’m all about helping my clients reframe the way they see their world or circumstances.  Essentially, through a positive reframe we work to change the way we think, which in turn will change the way we behave.  It’s time for a fitness reframe!  My goal is to take this journey towards overall health and fitness through consistent exercise and healthy eating. 

My journey begins here, late in pregnancy, while prepping for my postpartum comeback with the 21 Day Fix.  In the recent months I’ve seen so many people challenged and changed by this program.  If it can work for them, it can work for me.  And, as we say in the treatment world, “It works if you work it!”  Well, I’m planning on “working it!”
